These should be installed by a shoemaker. If you want to install them yourself, follow these steps:
Pre-work. You may want to tape off your shoes with blue painters tape before you do anything not to ruin your uppers.
1. Line up this half sole to your shoe sole, and mark were you are going to place it, and line it up to make sure the pair are going to be identical.
2. Rough up and/or sand both the shoe sole (yes, you have to remove the red paint on the shoe sole) and the half sole where you are going to put on the contact cement.
3. Use only Barge contact cement or anything stronger like Renia Kelbfest as the adhesive, shoe goo will not work and it will separate in just a couple wears.
4. Apply contact cement and let dry about 15-30 minutes (depending on directions of the cement) until tacky then apply half soles to shoe soles.
5. Once half soles are applied, let dry at least 12 hours.
6. Trim with heavy duty scissors or x-acto knife.
7. Finish edge with 150 gt sandpaper, then 220 gt to make a nice edge.
and voila…. your shoes look like new again!!
